This project was to be a full replacement of the ageing Woodrow Wilson Bridge with a pair of larger bridges to better facilitate traffic flow.

Woodrow Wilson Bridge

CDDI provided surveying services for the Bridge Project. CDDI was responsible for checking the offsets set by the contractor for pile driving. Also, CDDI set back sights, set temporary benchmark monumentation, was responsible for post tensioning tubes, computations and check forms.

CDDI performed the stakeout pilings for the bridge construction and performed settlement monitoring for the existing bridge columns. Horizontal and vertical control was established by CDDI to include, the checking of existing monumentation as provided on the design plans and the establishment of two control monuments with references at either end of the proposed bridge.

All control monuments were checked using GPS technology and reference points were established with either GPS or the latest in Servo driven total station technology. All information was then collected into digital files using data collection technology.

In addition, CDDI was responsible for the computation and stakeout of the baseline, piers and the computation and stakeout for the offset control.
